Goin' Berry Crazy...

I am on a mission. First, I'm determined to clean up around all the blackberry briars on our property. Then I need to plant the blueberry bushes and strawberry plants I purchased over the weekend. If anyone has any growin' tips you'd like to share, please do. I could use all the help I can get.

Now let me ask you... Have you ever tried to weed around blackberry briars??!! Holy smokes! I spent most of the time pullin' off the prickers snagged to my clothin' and tendin' to the thousands of scratches I now have. I'm carved up almost as bad as the I time I took Gracie to the vet. Truthfully, I'd rather sleep on blackberry briars than go through that again.

Of course the whole time I'm workin' like a dog, I had an audience.

Not one of them lent a fiberfil stuffed hand to help me either.

Then this one hid in the bushes to get out of helpin' me with chores.
He thought he would blend right in and I wouldn't spot him. Nice try.

Little does he know I plan on puttin' him in a dress later today. That'll teach him.

I suppose having your stuffed babies watching you helps keep your mind off what is really watching you. Do you hear all kinds of scurrying and rustling while you are working? I have been pulling ivy off my trees and got a little too close to a family of deer and spooked them. Yikes, I hate those sticker bushes. Hope you aren't too scratched up and oh, don't forget to check yourself for spiders.

If I hear a froggie shrieking later, I wont be too alarmed!
