My whole life, I've always had a fear of heights.
I remember in elementary school goin' into a complete panic when we had air raid/fire drills. (Yes, I am that old.)
Not because Communist Russia could be bombin' us. Heck, I could handle that! Brezhnev was nothin' compared to my fear of the fire escape.
We would have to line up single file and go out the emergency exit and down three flights of stairs.
When you're afraid of heights, the last thing you want to see through the metal grate steps is the hard pavement below!
I thought for sure the heel of my Buster Brown Mary Jane would get snagged and over the railin' I would go.
But after all these years, look what I can do minus the Mary Janes...

Here's George, Tommy, Ben, my hubs (yes, that is parmesan cheese on his face) and me with a rap American history lesson.
Man, it's hot under those powdered wigs...

Yep, I did this to my poor lil' pinkie the other day while mowin' around one of my hub's outdoor exercise contraptions! I smashed it between the lawnmower handle and a metal pipe.
Did you happen to hear that horrific, bellowin',
Janet Leigh-esque scream? Yes, that was me.
The pain was so bad and the curse words flowed so freely blamin' my hubs, I'm surprised his ears didn't spontaneously combust while at work. I think I even made up a few new swear words of my own.
So now I wait... Wait to see if I end up like Jeff Goldblum in The Fly. Remember when his fingernail falls off??!!! Yikes!!! I get the willies just thinkin' about it!
As far as my hubs goes... He has another two weeks of fannin' and feedin' me grapes as I soak my pinkie in Epsom Salt.

So many images come to mind
whenever I speak your name;
It seems without you in my life
things have never been the same.
What happened to those lazy days
when I was just a child;
When my life was consumed in you
in your love, and in your smile.
What happened to all those times
when I always looked to you;
No matter what happened in my life
you could make my gray skies blue.
Dad, some days I hear your voice
and turn to see your face;
Yet in my turning...it seems
the sound has been erased.
Dad, who will I turn to for answers
when life does not make sense;
Who will be there to hold me close
when the pieces just don't fit.
Oh, Dad, if I could turn back time
and once more hear your voice;
I'd tell you that out of all the dads
you would still be my choice.
Please always know I love you
and no one can take your place;
Years may come and go
but your memory will never be erased.
Today, Jesus, as You are listening
in your home above;
Would you go and find my dad
and give him all my love.
Happy Fathers Day Daddy.
I Miss You...

to live enjoyably when the simple,
interminable blue of the sky, with its long wisps of white clouds,
become a pleasant thing to behold,
a thing of beauty that thrills you every time you care to look skyward."

She took off like a bat out of h*ll.
But she didn't realize we put up chicken wire to keep the critters out.
Hmmm... What to do, what to do.
And she always gets what she wants.
Indianola will be available on my website as soon as I finish up another dollie.
Have great weekend folks.

Your glorious works amaze me
I can almost hear You it seems
Your voice cries out from here
"I created all of this for you"
The sound of water rushing by
Is evidence of all You do
Your majestic splendor shows
In places such as this
How mighty are Your works
That so many people miss
Thank You for this moment
Where I can reflect on You
Thank You for the rushing stream
My quiet place for retreating to

Even though I'm a firm believer in the First Amendment, I am sick and tired of the Asian p*rn links bein' left in my comments.
(Can't they do somethin' more productive with their time??!!)

parched and desolate before me; the whole land will be laid waste because there is no one who cares.
"I brought you into a plentiful land to eat its fruits and its good things. But when you entered you defiled my land, and made my heritage an abomination."
Is it not enough for you to feed on the good pasture? Must you also trample the rest of your pasture with your feet? Is it not enough for you to drink clear water? Must you also muddy the rest with your feet?
How long will the land lie parched and the grass in every field be withered? Because those who live in it are wicked, the animals and birds have perished.
Our government took over our auto industry, banks and our healthcare. Next is cap and trade and net neutrality. Yet they can't take control of this?????
Man, if this doesn't wake up our nation, I don't know what the heck will.
