Goodbye My Sweet, Precious Hannah...

I post this through tears and with an extremely heavy heart. Yesterday Hannah went peacefully to Rainbow Bridge.

Her tiny body could no longer fight off the ravages of this horrid incurable AIHA (Auto immune Hemolytic Anemia) disease that consumed her so quickly. We had to make the decision everyone dreads for their furbabies.
Since I struggle with the thought of taking a life, I was on my knees yesterday morning, asking the good Lord to somehow tell me we were doing the right thing. After witnessing her deterioration within a few hours, we knew we were.

This has been devastating to us and I ask that if you pray, to please continue to lift us up in prayer to help heal our aching hearts.
Also, please keep Darla and Gracie in your doggie prayers. Darla has been with Hannah since we brought them home as puppies. She is wandering around our home looking for her sister. It's heart breaking.

But I am truly grateful we have been blessed with almost 11 glorious years with her. She has taught me so much, yet never uttered a word. ♥

Sending a big hug your way. Its not easy when we loose a member of our family and our pets are part of our family. Just sent up a prayer for you, and your baby left. We are all here for you.

Karin I'm so sorry to hear this sad news. I had high hopes that she would pull through I know you LOVE her deeply!! It's such a hard thing to go through I've been through it myself. I had a Cocker Spaniel "Roscoe" for 15 years and we lost him 5 years ago and I haven't had the heart to get another dog. I will keep you in my prayers. Just remember you provided Hannah with a wonderful life.

Big Hugs,
Dana

My heart aches for you. I went through this two years ago and it hurts. There is a wonderful book called When Dogs Go To Heaven, by Cynthia Rylant.
It may help.

I am so sorry, I went through the same thing, my dog of 15 yrs got sick and very quickly deteriorated with in one day, and its the hardest decision I have ever had to make! I wondered for a long time if I had done the right thing, but ( and this my sound weird) one night I had a dream and it was my dog telling me that he was ok and he said goodbye, weird I know, but it was almost like I could feel him there, and when I woke up, I felt so much better. So I will pray that you find comfort and peace in knowing that you did the right thing, because you did!

the right choice is, to stop the suffering.
I had to make that choice three times.
I dream of them in happy fields.
