Breakfast of champions...

Wheaties?? Wheaties are for sissies.

I'm talking warm from the oven, homemade brownies and washing them down with a glassful of cold, organic milk.

Photobucket

I found an brownie recipe that I want to share. Go grab some paper and a pencil because you're going to want to write this one down.
Go on! I'll wait right here.

Okay. Ready??

Best Brownies

1 C ~ Melted butter
3 C ~ Sugar
1 Tbsp. ~ Vanilla
5 ~ Eggs
3/4 C ~ All purpose flour (add more flour if you don't want them gooey)
1 C ~ Unsweetened cocoa powder
1 C ~ Chocolate chips
1/2 tsp. ~ Baking soda
1/2 tsp. ~ Salt

Pre-heat oven at 350°. Grease 9x13 pan and set aside.

Mix melted butter, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs one at a time.

Sift together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
Slowly add dry ingredients to wet ingredients.
Add chocolate chips. NOTE: Here's a great trick to keep the chips from sinking to the bottom of the pan while baking. Lightly dust them in flour. It really works!

Spread into greased pan. Spreading slightly upward around the edges.
Bake for 35-40 minutes until toothpick comes out clean. (38 minutes was perfect for me)

Pour yourself a beverage of choice and enjoy!!
I'm thinking you need to make these today.

:> )

Those sound soo good. I should make them but then the family might think I've been replaced by a robot mom. Lol, they would go nuts over brownies for breakfast. This morning is Texas sized cinnamon rolls so I'll have to make brownies sometime this week. Thanks for the recipie.

...I've been searching for a good brownie recipe that is cake-like and does a 9x13 pan, most of 'em are fudgey and only do a 8x8 or 9x9 pan. Heck, that little pan would be one whole brownie for me! hee, hee, hee ;o)

...Thank you Karin for the recipe and btw, love your drinking glasses!

...Have a lovely Sunday!

...Blessings :o)
