150 Years Ago TODAY...

Well, it didn't fit in the Jeep BUT...

it did fit on top of the Jeep!


When I found another "Craigslist deal of the century," I couldn't pass it up. Even my hubs agreed.

I've been wanting a wing back settee for quite some time. I LOVE wing back furniture. It has such a homey look and feel. This piece is by Country Manor.

The trip was a little farther than our last. But it was an absolutely gorgeous day to travel. More importantly this time we left (the little demon possessed) Gracie home and only brought Stella.

She was perfectly awesome as usual.

For my next trick I will figure out a way to get rid of the couch my sweet hubs picked out and replace it with a wing back style one.

Now where did I put that magic wand??

Guess what??


I found another Craigslist treasure!
I've been searching for one of "these" for quite some time and it's in excellent condition.

This is all I'm going to show you for now.
As you can see it has my three favorite colors, red white and blue!

Call me old fashioned.

But I love fabrics that look like something my great grandma would have had in her home.

Take this for example.
I've been hanging on to this 12" scrap of upholstery fabric for a very long time.

I fell in love with this beautiful tapestry pattern back in the early 90's when I walked into an old-timer's fabric store.
I loved it so much I had my dining room chairs which are now long gone (as is the old-timer) reupholstered with it.

I have searched the internet hoping I could find this fabric again. But to no avail.
I won't give up though.
If I could find those 1970's colonial stencils for my old milk can, there's hope I can find this fabric again.

How did you spend the end of your Daylight Savings Time Eve?

You all know I'll look for any excuse to paint something. ((giggle))

I love the old black corner cupboard I have in my living room. But it really darkened the corner and all my little "treasures" could barely be seen.

Around 4pm yesterday the ol' light bulb went off in my head! That's it!!
So I grabbed the can of paint I used on the walls and went to town.
