I don't know how little Stella hurt herself but I hope they both recover quickly.marlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05252451302831115791noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8084047548601162596.post-53357218805104651012014-10-13T19:13:10.581-04:002014-10-13T19:13:10.581-04:00Peanut, I pinned a picture of my bathroom on my Pi...Peanut, I pinned a picture of my bathroom on my Pinterest board.

Audreybayrayschildhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15417421825864701356noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8084047548601162596.post-35288128565910347572014-10-13T18:30:38.971-04:002014-10-13T18:30:38.971-04:00Looks really very nice. I have a "grown up" kitchen now. :> )

Audrey, did you post photos on your blog?! I love everything that you do!

Dixie, to have the paint job last there's quite a bit of prepping to do. But worth it in the end. I wiped down everything then removed all the doors and hardware. I then used a deglossing product (I had left over from my last cabinet paint job). The product is like a "liquid sandpaper." The key is to remove the shine/gloss off the doors and cabinets. I used those ScotchBrite green scrubby pads along with the deglosser. Next, I primed everything. Twice. Then because I went white, three coats of paint on everything. Yep, three coats. Then I used a top coat/sealer. Another key to a quality paint job is quality paint brushes. (those cheapy 6 dollar brushes show paint streaks like cheapy6 dollar brushes) Like I said, it's a lot of work. But it's a heck of a lot cheaper than buying new cabinets. ;> )Countryfolk Keepsakeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10541472780276345561noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8084047548601162596.post-47629408376086055812014-10-13T07:34:56.401-04:002014-10-13T07:34:56.401-04:00I'm sorry about your doggie being sick.

I love the look of real butcher block counter tops but I'm still not 100% sold on the idea. So I'll stick with what I have for now.

P.S.I must have red in all my rooms.
:> )
Countryfolk Keepsakeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10541472780276345561noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8084047548601162596.post-88942829266971301092014-10-12T10:34:51.033-04:002014-10-12T10:34:51.033-04:00I am not a fan of white cabinets but I have to say...I am not a fan of white cabinets but I have to say that I like yours.
