Everytime I think I want granite, marble, soapstone or quartz I think about how I'll probably spill paint, drop paint brushes with paint on them and lean the ladder up against this kind of countertop. (Like I do now) :> )<br />I would drive myself insane worrying about the countertop and keeping it clean and pristine. Our home is very much lived. One of my favorite excuses er I mean "expressions" is "a clean house is a sign of a dull woman." T...I don't think you can go wrong with either. The soapstone looks like it has longer veins and the other shorter and more random but until you see a larger sample or a finished kitchen photo, it's a crap shoot.
