Stan The Beaver In His First Action Packed Movie...

Yeah I know, but he thinks it's action packed. He doesn't have time for fancy stunts and that CGI stuff, he's got work to do.

Did I happen to mention I named him Stan? Yep, after my daddy.
Which is perfect because he was listenin' to Eddie Blazonczyk on his lil' beaver iPod while swimmin' around.

Let The Christmas Decoratin' Games Begin...

Now that we are up to our eyeballs full with turkey, it's officially time to decorate for Christmas! YaY!

First things first... Get the "Greetings" my daddy made (back in the 70's), up on the ol' barn.

Thank the good Lord above I have a hubs who is not afraid of heights because I break out in a cold sweat when I step up on the second rung.

I think what did it for me was when I was 14 and visitin' Canada. I went on what was known as the largest Ferris wheel on the North American continent. Who thinks up this stuff?!

As we started to reach the clouds I remember a Canada goose flew by and said "Wow!! You're really up there aren't ya, eh?"

Needless to say after that, I heard nothin' else but the screams comin' from my mouth as I hung on for dear life.

Just When You Thought It Was Safe To Go Back Into The Water...

He's back with a vengeance!

Look! Mr. Beaver survived and I couldn't be happier! Woo-hoo!!

What the humans destroyed yesterday, was built back up today!
I'm pretty sure I saw him sportin' a lil' Rambo headband and muscle tank top.

He must have worked all night!

H*ll if I had big buck teeth and a flat tail I'd be right next to him, helpin' rebuild!

This lil' feller put forth such determination and perseverance it was truly amazin' to watch!

I know many humans who could learn a thing or two from him.
(In fact, too many.)

We Went For A Walk...

Even though all the leaves brown.
(♪ All the leaves are browwwn ♪)
Sorry, I had a Mamas and Papas moment.

Anyway, even though all the leaves are brown and pretty much gone, it's still nice to get out and enjoy nature.

Here's a lil' path the deer have made to get to...

Oriskany Creek.

Our resident busybody has built himself a beaver Taj Mahal.

He's got quite the set up now.

I even spotted his jacuzzi area.

The jets were off but I did find lil' beaver flip-flops and an empty martini glass.

Here he is enjoyin' his empire.

To end the day the good Lord above blessed us with an absolutely gorgeous sunset.

Have a great weekend folks.
God bless...

My gingerbread girl and snowgirl will be my next offerins'.

Because Of You, Unknown Soldier...

By Courtney Tanabe

Because of you, I am here
Because of you, I am able to live freely.

Yet I do not know you
And I have not done anything for you.

But there you stand, ready to fight
And there you are prepared to die
For me.

You've fought before
And you'll fight again
For someone you don't know.

So thank you Unknown Soldier
Fighting for me.

I'm here because of you
And I owe my future to you.

Folks, Wednesday November 11th is Veterans Day. But if you ask me, every day should be Veterans Day.

Please remember them,
please thank them.

Also, continue to pray for the victims and their families of the Fort Hood massacre.
God bless.
