When my good friend Susan posted one of her beautiful landscapes she painted on Facebook, it looked so familiar to me.
Then when I read her comment, "Another painting, based on the photo taken by a friend."
I smiled from ear to ear because I knew the place!!

I am SO glad you liked this painting. I was quite hesitant to post it, since I hadn't gotten permission from you. In case folks don't know, photographs taken by an individual fall under the same copyright laws as other types of art. You cannot just copy them and act like they are yours. In our case, I knew as friends that you would most likely agree to let me use your image. You take such great photos that they just beg to be painted. By the way, we will always have the Owen Wilson joke. Love it!
