HOLY SMOKES...

The storm that blew through knocked out our power yesterday mornin' and we're not sure when it will back back on. (We're hopin' by tomorrow evenin', so they say.) It affected about 13,000 (very unhappy) customers.

Man, ya don't realize how good you have it until its taken away from you. We are truly blessed to live in this great land of ours!

Thank the good Lord above for the inventions of wood stoves and generators. I'm able to sneak on my computer to check my emails and be toasty warm.

Please keep the folks who aren't as fortunate, in your prayers. The temps have been in the 20's and they have no heat.

Man! If we don't get water soon, I may have to roll around in the snow with a bar of soap!

:> )

UPDATE:
We've got our electricity back on!! YaY!!!!

  4. Glad to hear you got your power restored..we too go through this at least a dozen times a year...but mostly in the winter..and like you..we have a generator and woodstove and our grill...so we can still cook..it seems we lose power whenever someone farts or sneezes around here..and the sad thing is our next door neighbors (whom we could pass the grey poupon too) are on a different grid so they get their power restored about 3 days before we get ours back on...so that is very frustrating...and we know why ours always goes out but the power company does NOTHING about it..we have too many on our grid..and we are usually the last ones to get our power back on...:(...glad you are all restored..I remember 2 years ago we lost power when I was right in the middle of getting ready for a big show..so fired up the generator dragged the extension cord and I had my sewing machine and light..and I crafted like that for hours..it wasn't going to stop me...have you done that? have a happy halloween and stay warm...:)
