Hey , I can relate with the wood. I am sitting here with muddy pant legs on cause I was just outside working with wood. The beacj pictures; mu friend from the south has been sending me beach pics all week. It is calling us there!
well at least you will be nice and toasty...but yeah..I am with you on that one..they say cutting wood warms you twice...when you are slaving away and getting it stacked and when you finally get to enjoy it..where the heck is that easy button..getting to old to do this..we do have real wood for a reserve(its our desperate wood)but we buy the pressed logs at our local hardware/fireplace store..we buy 2 cords..and it stacks ever so nicely..our neighbors and us chip in on the truck and then we help each other unload it all...we call it our co-op..it does work...and it gets done lickety split...have a great week...")
I can totally relate to those photos.. not only do I have logs stacked up outside ready to be cut with a bright blue tarp covering it.. ( not very eye appealing --next to the driveway, mind you ),
but then it's stacked up on the back porch with a ugly ole gray tarp covering.. and again , not very appealing looking..
and then there is the wood box inside stacked up with wood next to the wood burner in our keeping room..
and, of course, the occasional black carpenter ant trying to escape... Back in November I had a whole colony trying to escape from the ash drawer underneath the wood burner...what fun !
Tacos ? I can also relate to the tacos ! They are quick and easy.. fits all the food groups and when you are sewing .. great, easy dinner ! And open up a can of refried beans to go with it !

Oh man, this reminds me of weekends when I was a kid spending many hours cutting and stacking firewood. My muscles are aching thinking of it.
ReplyDeleteNow close your eyes and light a fresh beachy smelling candle and put on a little music with the sound of waves in the background.
That's how I get through winter.
Blessings
