Good Evening...

I've always been an Alfred Hitchcock fan.

As I finished my latest dollie I couldn't help but be reminded of him.
One of my all time favorite movies was "The Birds."

That scared the bejeepers out of me! To this day, I still find myself squintin' my eyes when they show that feller with his peepers pecked out. Yikes!
(Man, that had to hurt)
Poor Suzanne Pleshette (the school teacher) didn't have a chance either. Especially with ketchup all over her face like that.

Who could use a telephone booth after seein' that movie? I couldn't.
Heck, a swing set and jungle gym were completely out of the question too.
I'm uncoordinated enough as it is; the last thing I needed was a crazed chickadee peckin' at me as I dangled from the monkey bars.

Milba and Culley are bein' offered on my Countryfolk Keepsakes website.

  2. I loved that show too..first time I saw it was in 9th grade..we won spirit week..so the 9th graders got to watch it..scared me too with the guy behind the door and no eyeballs..we watch it when it comes on now...and I just laugh at the melladrama..oh the acting is horrible..but the blonde gal..she was beautful..especially for only having that one dress through most of the program...she kept it together...:)

  3. Yeppers, I agree! Tippi Hedren was a true beauty, even in that dress. She is Melanie Griffith's mama.

  4. Love the doll. :)
That movie never really scared me but I do remember that was the only Alfred movie my mom ever let me see.

  5. My sister is friends with Tippy. She has a large cat game preserve that you can visit and even camp out surrounded by lions and such. Tippy must like excitement for sure.

  6. You know I think that is why I'm afraid of birds even to this day! LOL! The movie with the old house and the shower scene was the scariest movie Hitchcock made for me. When that guy went into the room with all the creepy dead animals, oooh no. I still get the creeps showering at a hotel.

    Blessings,

    Cathy
