parched and desolate before me; the whole land will be laid waste because there is no one who cares.
Jeremiah 12:11
"I brought you into a plentiful land to eat its fruits and its good things. But when you entered you defiled my land, and made my heritage an abomination."
Jeremiah 2:7
Is it not enough for you to feed on the good pasture? Must you also trample the rest of your pasture with your feet? Is it not enough for you to drink clear water? Must you also muddy the rest with your feet?
Ezekiel 34:17-18
How long will the land lie parched and the grass in every field be withered? Because those who live in it are wicked, the animals and birds have perished.
Jeremiah 12:4
Our government took over our auto industry, banks and our healthcare. Next is cap and trade and net neutrality. Yet they can't take control of this?????
Man, if this doesn't wake up our nation, I don't know what the heck will.

It breaks my heart to see such devistation...

oh these photos break my heart...
ReplyDeletePeanut - I agree with you on this. I posted about it on my blog today. My son and I had a long discussion about this - that this is evil, but the reason that evil abounds is because I personally have depended so much on oil myself - me and a million (billion?) others.

Oh Peanut, those photos do break my heart... but I'm among one of the guilty because as Dixie said, I personally have depended so much on oil. :( The only way is to significantly reduce consumption of oil in every household... and to demand clean sources of energy to replace the bit of fuel we do need.
ReplyDeleteIt's completely outrageous that they can not stop this... and even more upsetting that this same tragedy has occurred before in the Gulf and no one took notes to learn from that 31 years ago.
My heart is so heavy over this... :(

ReplyDeleteMy heart is breaking for these animals. God must be crying over this too! First we must reach out to him then get off our butts and CAP THAT OIL SPILL NOW!!!!!!!!! Okay, I'm better now. It is so horrible I wish I new what to do. God bless. Cathy, Oh, I'm praying, that's what I can do.
ReplyDeletePeanut, Hi and thanks for what you are doing here. I cry and cannot bear to see these horrible pictures. Yes we are dependent on oil, so why do they not give us some of the alternatives that are available and for which we ask?
ReplyDeleteTo me, MONEY and CORRUPTION is the reason!
I pray daily that

I have tears in my eyes writing this. What a cruel way to die. I hope they can clean up this mess someday.

If we were allowed to drill on land and in shallow water, this kind of thing would not happen.

God bless you, Karin.
ReplyDeleteYou hit the nail on the head with this one. And I read Dixie's blog post about it last night. So glad to know that there are others who remember God's word, and that our own glutonous consumption has created the "monster" these industries attempt to feed. We are all at fault.
May the Lord withold His justice on us for what we deserve, and have mercy on us all.
