Here Are Six Important Reasons...

why you should be grateful this holiday weekend. Without these men, we wouldn't be livin' in the best country on the planet.

1. George Washington

"Guard against the impostures of pretended patriotism."

2. Thomas Jefferson

"I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them."

3. John Adams

"Abuse of words has been the great instrument of sophistry and chicanery, of party, faction, and division of society."

4. Benjamin Franklin

"Educate your children to self-control, to the habit of holding passion and prejudice and evil tendencies subject to an upright and reasoning will, and you have done much to abolish misery from their future and crimes from society."

5. James Madison

"Do not separate text from historical background. If you do, you will have perverted and subverted the Constitution, which can only end in a distorted, bastardized form of illegitimate government."

6.Alexander Hamilton

"Constitutions should consist only of general provisions; the reason is that they must necessarily be permanent, and that they cannot calculate for the possible change of things."

The Declaration of Independence.

The United States Constitution.

Do not take what they've done for us for granted. Keep their memory alive and educate yourself, your children and your grandchildren with correct American history.

Have a wonderful, blessed and safe Independence Day folks.
God bless...

  5. I just watched all about George Washington and the Rev. war on the History channel. It was amazing to see and hear all the wonderful, brilliant things these men did to secure this country. My son doesn't even know any history of our forefathers, and he is in 4th grade. What gives. We have lost our way I fear. I so thank you for continuing to post these wonderful reminders of who we were and what we should return to. Amen, God bless America. Cathy
