Ulysses and Robert will be there.
:> )
General Ulysses S. Grant and Robert E. Lee are my May 1st Firewood Folks © offerins' on TDIPT Mercantile.
:> )
I finally finished my two Firewood Folks© for TDIPT Mercantile for May 1st!
Here's a sneak peek...
Hmmm... I wonder who they could be??
I'll keep you posted.
Oh and I'm sure I'll be back soon. It's been a while and I'm feelin' a lil' ornery.
;> )
Blessings to you and your kin this Easter weekend.

As we cut and hauled massive rotted barn beams and dragged gigantic stones, I couldn't help but think about the men who built it all by hand. No farm equipment, just men and horsepower. Man, I have the utmost respect for them!!
It also puts into perspective how easy our lives have become. I will never complain about havin' to get gas for the chain saw ever again.
It doesn't look like much, but believe me my achin' muscles would beg to differ with you!
It's been rainin' for days so clean up is put on hold for now. But I will continue to post photos. In the meantime, I'll stock up on Advil and Bengay.

Meet... Wanda.
She's goin' to help me move all the huge barn beams and gigantic rocks.
We're tryin' to figure out what year she was made.
Either late 30's or early 40's. She still runs like a champ! Heck, of course she does! She was made in the good ol' U.S. of A.
I thought about restorin' her, but I think she looks pretty spiffy just as she is. She just needs a good scrubbin'.
♥
See, I told ya so.
(Boop-boop-ba-doo)
Have a great weekend folks. Remember to smile.
And enjoy nature too!
:> )
And continues to do so...

Fresh air and hard work is good for the soul!
While I was down there I snapped some pics to share. Man, I love all the textures!
On top of all this, I'm also workin' on some new creations!
So I'll keep ya posted...

Enjoy nature.

Well if this is true, my hubs and I will have enough character for the rest of our lives when we get done with this next project!
When we had to have our 160 year old dairy barn dismantled I couldn't bring myself to have what was left of the beautiful foundation, bulldozed and destroyed. Then Friday I had a brainstorm! Why not turn it into a really cool, rustic outdoor livin' area?!
Sounds fantastic!! Sure, back breakin' labor will be involved and I might drop dead before it's all said and done but heck, at least I'll have muscles like Popeye!
See that stone silo base next to my hubs? I want to clean it all out and turn it into a lil' pond. Wouldn't that be cute??
(I plan on keepin' a photo journal of our progress.)
Look at that beautiful stonework, all laid by hand.
(Can you see me in there??)
Oooh, I can't wait to place a lil' potted flower in an old mason jar and place it on that sill! ♥
So my days will be filled with a lot of hard work. But that's okay. Hard work never killed anyone... I think. If it did, no one's alive to tell the tale anyway.
But I may have to get me some anchor tattoos on my forearms because I yam what I yam!
Now if you would please excuse me... I need to eat another can of spinach.
