Whew!! Phase One Done...

Well, I did it!! I finally finished my Cabinet Transformations! Sure I worked on it 15 hours a day for 6 days and I've gotten hardly any sleep because I've been drinking coffee for those six 15 hour days; but I'm happier than a tick on a hound dog with the outcome!!

Ummm... Please try not to look at my counter tops. They look really bad now, but not for long.

I never thought I would get excited over new cabinet hardware, but I did! Just look at that knob! Feel free to "Ooooh and Ahhhh" just like when you see fireworks."

Well hello there, handsome.

And for my next trick, I will attempt the Countertop Transformations! I wonder if I can take my coffee intravenously?
I'll keep you posted.

P.S. All week Steve the Chipmunk sat on the tree stump, eating Doritos and suckin' down Old Mil, watching through the kitchen window as I worked like a dog.

  1. You're such a goober, callin' your countertops boogers. It will be interesting to see how they look after you do the countertops thing. You're my explorer on this one. I have 25 year old cabinets and countertops. Same type as yours. My countertops are black though. They show every little spot of dust (or toast crumbs)...I definitely want something lighter!

  2. ...Oh girl, I'll say it again, you ROCK! :o) I loved the before but I love the after too - I love BOTH! But I understand how that does 'brighten' up your kitchen and it does! They are beautiful Karin! This really should be featured in a magazine or somethin'... You should contact the company of the kit you used to do this and tell 'em how happy you are with their product and maybe they'll use you & your lovely kitchen as an example of their product. If I owned that company I know I would commission you as my shining example - fo' sho'! ;o)

...Congrat's girl! Now take a break - you deserve it! Maybe hang out with ol' Steve there and split a cup o' jo' and have a dorito or two! lol...

    ...Blessings :o)

  4. Love those cabinets. I liked the red but am in love with the new color and your knobs. Sure brightens up the area. Can't wait to see the countertops. But take a break (no not a bathroom one from all the coffee,ha) a long break and enjoy your results. You deserve it girl. Have a good one!

  5. Oooooh la la!!! Very pretty. I will also be one that checks back to see what you think of the counter top treatment because replacing ours are not in the budget at all.
Rest up after all that hard work. Nicely done!

  8. Steve called. He wanted to tell me how smooth the paint is and not gobbed in the raised panel corners like when I do it. And it covered the red without looking like thick coats of paint. I'm impressed. I need to check this stuff out!
