I'm alive. I think...

If I drank or took drugs, now would be a really good time to do so.

Man, I forgot what it's like to have a puppy in the house. Our lives have been turned upside down but hubs and I have huge smiles on our face! Us ---> :> ) 8> )

Gracie is totally traumatized and feels betrayed. She has nicknamed us Judas #1 and Judas #2. I'm guessing I'm #2.

Little Stella has no boundaries and bolts right for her. Then poor Gracie runs in terror. I've been keeping them separated for now.

Stella seems to have forgotten where her pee-pee/poopie towel is. Sigh.

Since she's so tiny, I've been staying on the couch in case she has to go. Unfortunately for me she did when I was sound asleep. (Of course)
I awoke to the toxic stench of her pile of "presents" on the floor and a tiny skid mark on my pillow case. I still can't figure that one out. Unless she's a trapeze artist for Cirque du Soleil.
For the record, I am convinced Puppy Chow should be banned from the planet. Holy crap!!!

Sorry my posts are few and far between. But the only way I get time to type now is when she's like this:

Happy Tuesday all!! (It is Tuesday, right??)

  1. Perhaps a crate would work since she is so young and it would give your other baby a chance to rest and get to know her on her terms. Your pictures are adorable, I love the dog on the shoulder act, :~)

  2. Oh boy do I remember those days, I have a yorkie poo she is soon to be 6 years old and I tell hubby every so often I want another small dog, then I reflect on the potty training days and the sleepness nights.. and she would be like gracie, she don't care for others invading her space..we crated her she went in while we were away, sleeping and just needed a break. :) she slept in her crate aka "house" for about 2 years, she is now free to roam, she sleeps with us and is a major couch potatoe she weighs about 5 lbs.. Good luck to you.... she is cute as a button... I love how she sleeps.

  3. I was just going to say that crate training always worked so well for us and noticed Judi was recommending the same thing. She's just a cutie. Good Luck

  7. I swear I won't laugh...but then sometimes I forget...
THIS, I think, is why Peg only wants cats as pets..loves puppies but not the smelly part.
There is nothing for it but do suffer through it. Crates are only good if they are large enough to include a decent sized litter pan...you CAN train a small breed dog to use a litter pan...they won't eat the litter because it tastes bad. So it IS an idea.
However, my sympathies are with you. My cat Hooky likes to sleep next to my head wherever I am sleeping..bed, sofa -doesn't matter...and he has a cold so I get sneezed on. Not quite the same, but still icky.
    Good luck.

  12. Thanks, guys. Appreciate all the advice.
Already brought up the kennel we had in the basement. Still haven't closed the door on her though.
Gracie is not coming around at ALL. If anything, it's worse. Yesterday, Stella chased her and nipped her. Gracie yelped. Gracie will not stand her ground and runs to us for help. Stella keeps rail-roading her. Oh dear Lord, if I get though this it will be a miracle!!!
