Happy Birthday, Mr. President...

You were truly an amazing man.
Sadly sir, you don't get the recognition you deserve.

American history is important.

Educate.

Teach.

If we don't, who will?

  1. Oh how I wish we had great leaders again. I told my hubby this morning that every morning, I listen to the news and it confirms over and over that the inmates have taken over the asylum. They re-educate and rewrite history. it's a shame.

  2. After 100 years, the progressives now have a grip on our country. Political correctness has made many Americans afraid to speak for fear of retaliation while others turn a blind eye to what's happening around them.
I am reminded of a quote by Dietrich Bonhoeffer. "Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act."

  5. History is often re-written by persons who, for whatever reason, believe that the information which has been recorded in the past needs to be re-examined in the light of a more modern culture. In our culture this has lead in some cases to disrespect and hatred of persons and locales which once were venerated. This man was indeed amazing and he is rarely granted recognition for his accomplishments. Let us hope that when the next re-vision of history is done in America the truth will not be distorted by political agendas or by individuals who carry their own social agendas but by persons who research documentation and accurately report what is states-not what their opinions are. American history is very important and should be studied and taught to children and persons who wish to become citizens by individuals not by school systems which may be charged with governmentally directed requirements for curricula.
Good thing your post was short..my rant isn't! Sorry.

  7. Well said, Peri. Not a rant at all.

Big government manipulates the truth and pits people against people.

United we stand, divided we fall. Period.

We all need to stand united. ♥

  8. Sadly, many of us need to learn to read for ourselves rather than to depend on television broadcasters and political figures to tell us what is going on. Again, part of the key to a better America is as simple as being able to read. Teach someone else to read..it isn't difficult to do because you already can do it and almost anything you can do you can also teach!
