But there was one... One that was rather pretty. Again in the grey- greige color. It's a new color called "Silver Quartzite" with the scovato finish. The only problem is the samples are about the size of a Chiclet. Seriously, how can anyone tell how a countertop would look like with a sample that size??
I still have Soapstone Sequoia on the brain.
:> )
I don't think you can go wrong with either. The soapstone looks like it has longer veins and the other shorter and more random but until you see a larger sample or a finished kitchen photo, it's a crap shoot. I have the real soapstone and we both hate it. Next time, back to Formica.
ReplyDeleteI have heard that from others, Marly. Everytime I think I want granite, marble, soapstone or quartz I think about how I'll probably spill paint, drop paint brushes with paint on them and lean the ladder up against this kind of countertop. (Like I do now) :> )
ReplyDeleteI would drive myself insane worrying about the countertop and keeping it clean and pristine. Our home is very much lived. One of my favorite excuses er I mean "expressions" is "a clean house is a sign of a dull woman." ((giggle)) ;> )
