Sadly, we seem to jump from Halloween right into Christmas and Thanksgiving is somewhat forgotten.
But not at the ol' Countryfolk homestead.

Hi Karin. I love them both. The workmanship and detail is incredible.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Thanksgiving is ignored. It's treated like the kick off to Christmas shopping. And it's such a meaningful, lovely holiday.
Have a good day.
Karin, they are wonderful! I agree with Phyllis, the workmanship and detail IS incredible. Wow. What a blessing to be able to create such beautiful things. I seriously need to check out your site.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Thanksgiving isn't like it used to be. Nowadays, it seems we are so concerned with buying gifts for Christmas, we don't focus on the true meaning of Thanksgiving at all. Sad really.
Thank you kindly, ladies. These two were patterns from a very talented pattern maker. I just did my own thing with them. ♥
ReplyDeleteYep, Thanksgiving is pretty much forgotten. When in fact it was such an important time in American history. So sad.
