Okay. That's a bit of a stretch.
I wanted to paint a small shelf for our bedroom. Behr's Antique White was my choice. But I didn't have enough leftover to paint it. Since it's quite a hike to the nearest HD, I hopped online and ordered a sample. Free shipping too? It's a no-brainer.
Got it painted.
I decided not to hang the lovely, antique portrait of the Victorian gal I've mentioned in a previous post. She's just a bit too formal looking for the room.
I want a farmhouse/country cottage look. So I'll keep it simple. Maybe accent with some little, song birdies.
The lovely Victorian gal will have to wait...
Have a terrific weekend, everyone!!
Snow showers and unseasonably cold weather is in our weekend forecast. boo**hiss**
But it'll make me appreciate spring all the more.
So all is good.

I love the shelf! Can I make a suggestion? I would put the small frames on either side of the shelf or hung over it rather than on the shelf as to me it seems cluttered. I don't mean this as a criticism, just my humble opinion. You can tell me if I have opened my mouth and inserted my foot where it doesn't belong.
((giggle)) Judi, you crack me up! I totally agree with you! The reason why it's taking me so long to hang stuff on the walls is because I don't want to make a lot of nail holes in the wallpaper. Can you believe it?! This coming from a woman who could connect the nail hole dots in her living room walls and make a Rembrandt! ((hee hee)) But the wallpaper came out so nice I don't want to put holes in it!
I have two antique prints I plan to hang on each side. I just have to gather up the nerve to do it!! Ack!!
It is just darling! I love it....so pretty! I painted my bedroom Behr's Antique White a few weeks ago, it is such a nice white. Have a great weekend! Lucky you on the cold weather. I am a Winter/Fall person... yeah, and I live in the south! Oh brother. :O)
Morning, love the country/cottage look, sweet shelf with goodies.Blessings Francine.
Goob... I'm just catching up here. Did you wallpaper too? Its all so lovely.
Oooh! I bet it looks fantastic, Denise!! Thanks, Francine. Hey Goob, how have you been??!!
Thanks, ladies! ♥
Yes, it looks so nice in there! (happy dance) This room has always been an old fashioned, grandma type of bedroom. Actually, I've tried to make it kinda look like my grandmom's old room...sigh. If I could, I'd build a farmhouse just like hers. :-) She and my grandpop had a huge blueberry farm back in the day. I would go over to their house and stay there for the summer months, picking, sorting and packing those sweet blues. I'd also clean her farmhouse, which I loved! She did have tons of knick knacks though, not so much love there! lol
That paper is just so pretty. Soft, romantic, farmhousey, just enough, not too much. Perfect.
